Peregrine Sighted from Twin Room

Before the Autumn storms of 2013, Dave and Lee visited Lakeside for a 2 day break to Bird watch on the RSPB Radipole Lake, which is only a minutes walk to get to, in fact, Lakeside Guest House happens to be the closest Accommodation to the the Bird Reserve in Weymouth.

Dave and Lee started with a trip to Portland for the fantastic views of Chesil Beach then on to Portland Bill for its unique atmosphere and wildness.

No Worries about the Scandinavian Breakfast !

Hi , Martin , just to say thanks for your hospitality over the weekend. Glad we had the room overlooking the Reserve as I never expected to see a Marsh Harrier and Peregrine from the window. We were a bit apprehensive of the ” Scandinavian ”  breakfast advertised but were soon relieved with the smell of bacon drifting up the stairs. I hope we can return earlier next year to spot the Bearded Tits breeding and explore more of the area. Best regards, Dave and Lee Franks.
